SBA Loan Processing Manager

Overview

Still Valley Capital Partners is rapidly-growing fintech company looking for a superhero: resourceful, detail-oriented and driven with the ability (and desire) to talk to anybody while keeping a smile. This talented individual will initially manage the loan application documentation and process with clients, and if they are successful and want to, will have the opportunity to hire and manage others, deploy technology and inform the growth of a rapidly growing company. This will initially begin as a 1-2 month contract role, with a high probability for conversion into a full-time position.

Either 2+ years of SBA Loan Processing experience or 2-6 years of Public Accounting experience are required for this role, so if that is you, we would love to hear from you! Summary

This position is responsible for working with clients to gather the information necessary and correctly fill out applications for two SBA loans: Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDLs) and Payroll Protection Program (PPP) loans, both of which are part of the $2T CARES Act. This will provide critical assistance to many businesses in need. Initially assembling complete loan packages, this talented guru will them be able to train and manage a team of people, as well as hire/assisting with hiring if they like. Those with backgrounds in public accounting will be excellent fits for this role, as we can train the specifics of the SBA loan program and the accounting foundation will be highly transferrable.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager role will involve training Associates, helping them and ensuring the quality of their work. It can also involve hiring, if the Manager would like.

Gather inputs from customers, helps them with clarifying questions in order to complete loan packages

Ensures compliance to SBA application process and regulations

Provides administrative support to the origination staff, to assist in the completion of loan packages.

Communicates with applicants, Loan Officers, SBA Customer Service Representatives, Brokers, Attorneys, Sellers, and Accountants to gather necessary documents for SBA and closing.

Sets up loan closing files consistent with each loan and according to the checklist in the SBA loan processing procedures. Responsible for the accuracy of the loan files, including all packaging documents, and compliance with SBA Lending requirements as stated in the SBA SOP 50-5-10.

Works directly with documentation attorney if utilized, to ensure that the necessary loan documents are prepared, and all legal recommendations are satisfied and meet strict SBA policies as stated in the SBA SOP 50-10-5.

Demonstrates outstanding interpersonal, technical, problem solving, and written communication skills.

What Your Background Will Look Like

  • 2-6+ years’ experience in public accounting firm or 2+ years’ experience in SBA loan processing required.
  • For those with SBA experience, working knowledge of the SBA SOP 50-10-5 requirements are a plus.
  • Technical/Functional Competencies Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
